An arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus colonizing a root. Hyphae are the thread-like filaments. The green coating on hyphae is glomalin. High concentrations of glomalin were found in Mid-Atlantic states soils. We also showed that glomalin was probably a factor in aggregate stability.
