I've found that changing some of the ini files to increase the difficulty in other ways is a more effective way to make the game harder. I also increase the taming speed compared to the difficulty level. If on difficulty 4x then taming speed is also 4x or there about.This will set your dino's to the max possible dino level without the fear of getting it removed from the game by evil ark wizards . Tbh it depends ive played with a dino cap of 120 all the way up to 6000, if you have mods alot of the big ones like you to have a dino lv around 600 , official servers have a 150 cap, if you Google ark difficulty dino lvs you should find where it tells you the difficulty for the different lv caps.
