Max Shulaker's research exploits machine learning and data analytics to correlate changes in a patient's breath with rapid detection of bacterial infection. His invention is a three-dimensional electronic chip that contains millions of unique gas sensors capable of monitoring and detecting volatile organic compounds in a patient's breath.It'll include presentations by Joanna Slusky of the University of Kansas, Anastassia Andreevna Vorobieva of the VIB-VUB Center for Structural Biology, Sarel Fleishman of the Weizmann Institute of Science, and Patrick Barth of EPFL, who is also the event organizer.
