And special thanks to Greg Downs ...Dr. Lorien Foote, Professor of History, Texas A&M University Dr. Lorien Foote is the Patricia & Bookman Peters Professor in History at Texas A&M University. She has written extensively on the cultural, intellectual, and military history of the American Civil War.Lorien Foote was born in Norman, Oklahoma. She received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Kansas in 1991 and a Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma in 1999. She is a Professor of History at Texas A&M University and taught for 13 years at the University of Central Arkansas.
