29 April 2024. For the first several months I have been receiving astounding speeds such as 300-400 Mbps down and 50 Mbps up. Tonight speeds have crashed. 10 Mbps down and less than 1 Mbps up. The network receiver hasn’t moved an inch. There are 2 reasons for this. 1.This is due to the very narrow spectrum assigned to 5G (using only band 2 (1900mhz) and 5 (850mhz) ) and C Band (3.5-4Ghz not wildly available) Note: after 3G shutdown Band 5 will be available for 5G, and will improve coverage greatly as Band 5 is low band and will penetrate buildings. 2.
